Q+A Questions for DPS Interview

Q1: How does it feel now you’re big pop stars and touring internationally?
EMILY: It’s a massive change, coming from living in a small village to travelling right around the world, its crazy! I’m getting used to it now though, living with my girls 24/7; I feel at home again.
BETH: it doesn’t even feel like were ‘big pop stars’, to us were still a normal group of best friends just having a laugh together and travelling, we’re very lucky to come this far though! I love touring and seeing all our fans, but I still miss home and seeing family all the time.

Q2: Where is your hometown? Do the people back at home still support you?
JODIE: I’m originally from a village near Hull called Sproatley. They’re my biggest fans and I’ll never forget them. I came home one day from the tour and as I came home all my families closest friends from in the village had set up a party at my house to support me, it was amazing!
MEG: I lived not long away from Jodie, a small village called Preston. It was great I knew everyone and they were always their supporting me from the minute we developed the band.

Q3: What is it like to have such a close friendship and live together 24/7?
MEG: It’s the best thing I could ever wish for, because were all so similar we understand each other and get along great; we have nothing to argue about at all. Like Em said earlier, I just feel like I’m at home again, living with my sisters.

Q4: What’s your favourite song to perform?
EMILY: Broken Heart! I can really put a lot of effort into that song; it brings out all my inner feelings and emotions so I get into it.
JODIE: Material Girl is so fun to have a laugh with and dance to on stage.

Q5: Do you guys have any hobbies besides, obviously, making music?
BETH: When I am not on the stage or making music, I’m out shopping with my friends or down at the local shopping centre grabbing a bite to eat! I love to shop and socialise.
EMILY: When I was little I always wanted to be a professional dancer, so now I still take dance lessons when I aren’t busy and love to learn new routines which I can teach my girls for the tours.
JODIE: Apart from making music I don’t do anything; you could say I’m just lazy. I love to chill with friends and family when I get the chance and that’s about it really.
MEG: I’m exactly like Beth, when I aren’t busy I’ll be either out shopping or at least online shopping, I love keeping up with the latest fashion trends and let’s face it… every girl loves new clothes!

Q6: Who are your idols and why?
MEG: My idol is definitely Rihanna; I love her as a singer more than anyone! I’m obsessed with her music and love her style.
EMILY: Nicole Scherzinger is a female artist I look up to the most; she’s amazing and sings beautifully
MEG: Taylor Swift! I love her songs and can relate to nearly all of them; she has so much girl power I admire her for that.

Q7: You say you’re ‘stronger than ever’ now, how has this become?
BETH: Because we’ve known each other for so long now and are starting to release new songs and bring out the new albums; I know we just keep getting closer. I couldn’t be without them; it wouldn’t be the same not seeing them everyday
MEG: I think it’s all down to the fact that we just get along so well and we’ve had so many amazing opportunities that we have taken, we’re just so grateful to have each other.

Q8: I think this is the first time we’ve ever seen a casual photo shoot look! Why is this?
EMILY: We all love being glitzy especially on stage, but even we have our casual look days were we just feel like slouching around. That shoot was to show that even though we love dressing up (as every girl does) we love wearing our chilling clothes.
